We are pleased to announce the introduction of our new Before/After-School Study Hall Program, an excellent opportunity for students to work on their homework in a structured, distraction-free environment. While this is not one-to-one tutoring, students will benefit from having teachers available to assist them with any questions or challenges they encounter during their study time.
This program is ideal for students who want a calm space to focus on their work while having access to teacher support as needed. Whether your child is looking to complete homework, prepare for tests, or simply stay organized, the study hall offers a great solution.
Study Hall will be available from October 21st to April 25th. There won’t be classes during holidays or there may be cancellations due to unforeseen events. If you would like to register your child, please feel free to email the teachers that are listed below. Each class has a capacity of 18 students. Once the capacity is full you need to sign up for another session. Please see the table below for the available sessions. The morning session begins at 8:15 am to 9:15 am, and the afternoon session is at 4:15 pm and ends at 5:15 pm. You must arrive at the school at least 5 minutes early to pick up the students. The teachers cannot supervise the late pick-ups because they have their family obligations. If a parent is late for pick up, we will provide a one-time warning, and the following late pick up the student will no longer be able to participate.
To ensure that all students benefit from this program, we have established the following rules and expectations:
1. Respectful Behavior: Students are expected to maintain a respectful attitude toward teachers and peers at all times.
2. Focused Work Time: This is a time for completing assignments and studying. Socializing, using electronic devices for non-educational purposes, or disrupting others will not be allowed.
3. Quiet Environment: Students must work quietly and independently unless they are asking questions.
4. Come Prepared: Students should arrive with the materials they need for homework, including textbooks, notebooks, and any other resources.
5. Stay on Task: Students should use the time productively to complete homework, study, or engage in other academic activities.
We are excited to provide this additional support for your child’s academic success!
